Hi,

So I'm broke all the time as you all know. I was considering doing a few things to try and make money, since my "spend all my money creating stuffed animals that never sell" wasn't the best idea.

I was thinking, if I played the crystal market, did ventures, made 50 clothing and soulbound it while hunting stuff that gave me the more expensive mats (such as snurbles) then converting to materia would be prudent. Perhaps also queuing for dungeons and sending retainers out constantly.

Basically all that stuff at once, I would make good gil.

Is that a good idea?

Another thing that would be a big help is to get your Botany leveled up and geared. Goes along with Weaver nicely for mats and such… And for gathering shards, cyrstals and clusters especially. Sometimes those clusters go crazy high, like 1200 gil each

Its pretty easy leveling these days too, just get a manual from you gc and do the leves, you get some outrageous xp

Oh and you can get treasure maps too which I do every day, sometimes they have some pretty nice items and gil

I completely forgot about those GC manuals.

Do you guys all have like billions of Gil? Because I can't keep it in m pockets.

lol, I don't have billions. I've been pretty lazy lately about making gil been too busy with other stuff. After I get Arcanist leveled going to buckle down and try and make some. I've spent quite a bit since I came back so my supply has dwindled considerably…

But I do set some goals to not drop below a certain amount so that helps.

To be honest, I've found that once you get more self-sufficient, you don't need much gil to keep you on your feet and fund the necessecities. It's once you want fluff things like housing and furniture etc that it really eats into your gil haha

I'm not a good money-maker. Sky's way better. I'm just good at being self-sufficient. I never spend more than I make, but am constantly progressing my character - except since the saucer came out, my money has not dropped but my character has done nothing else besides cards, racing, and GATEs lmao

Well, I have 119k gil and put up an absolute ton of materia and other oddities on the Market Board, so I will check probably tomorrow later on and see if I finally made any gil or not. Oh and Thanks for the info on the GC Manuals, I had no idea they existed at all.
