Well if you are like me I work in a School District where certain ports are locked down, so not sure if your work is the same way Alexis but something to check on.

UDP 9304 is the port that direct play uses and it may not be your work that is blocking it and may be your router as well so check that and add a forward in just to be sure.

I am going to Best Buy tonight to pick one up either way :D

So how does that work out in the wild, does the ps vita log into your own ps4 over the net and thats how you play?

Well I tried it. the vita serves better when you use a controller, which means it would have to be in the house with the ps4 which can be pointless, unless you can plug your controller into the vita itself which I haven't looked up.

I tried playing with just the vita, but the buttons don't work that I can tell with the game very well, the most obvious thing missing is the middle "pad" that you use to flip between menus and use the mouse feature. I believe the back of the vita is supposed to do that, but it was really awkward.

It looked fine on the small screen though.

I purchased one last night (PS Vita) but have not had a single chance to try it out yet. Tonight should be a good night to try :D
