So I have been playing PVP for a while now and this is what I have learned for tips and tricks…

SCH is tougher to kill than WHM. I have to kill these as a DRG and SCH is a nuiscance. For staying alive as SCH I recommend parking EOS in the centre and running past for hp refresh. Don't bother killing SCH pets especially later on they can swiftcast another. If you have to kill a SCH and you have a WHM everyone but the whm needs to down him asap.

For staying alive as a healer, if you get aggro then wall hug, DPS like DRG follow at a distance and you can ruin their line of sight and buy time to heal. The L shape place in the wall is a good place to quick heal as a WHM.

BRD swiftsong your group as you wait to enter the arena it gives an advantage of being able to be in place while the other team is still running. Shadow bind your enemy mages when you can especialy and SCH and BLM if possible

DRG/ MNK MNK is tougher than DRG and if they get hold of you with twin snakes ect you are done. But DRG is faster weapon skills and can throw so if you end up in a dps brawl stay away from them. Mind pro PLDS kiting you into MNKS while you think they are fleeing…lol

BLM king of the DPS, these guys die first and you need purify (PVP skill) as a DPS to avoid their sleep attack. stun and nuke asap as they are the most dangerous opponent :)

Tanky tanking WAR is the king over PLD in my experience. I can solo a PLD one on one as a DRG but WAR do so much dmg they are a nuiscance. If you are playing WAR kill mages BLM> SCH> WHM. Throw is useful but you need to corner people to really do dmg.

SMN to my knowledge SMN, imo is not a particuarly high ranking class for pvp. They die last and their pets dont help out much compared to SCH. These guys are low on the kill order after all other DPS.

PVP traits are so useful, try to enhance as many as you can as soon as possible as it gives a big advantage if the other team do not have them.

Scatter, everyone runs to the same side when let out of the holding area, no idea why. I would recommend WHM hanging back a few seconds because if they cant see you they don't know what we have.

Buy pvp gear! the lowbie stuff isnt expensive and it helps with morale which is important for the team :)

Ideal party set up (this is the one I win most consistently with): BLM, BRD, SCH> (WHM), WAR. I usualy take the spot of BRD so either melee seems ok there.

The only thing I noticed is that for BLM you've mentioned they are the biggest threat and how to deal with them, but not how to play them in PVP. I think a lot of our members have BLM available so it's worth looking at.

Do we sleep spam? AOE as much as possible? Put DoTs on everyone? Spam single target rotations? Lemme know :)

apologies, for BLM attack sleep everyone! Status effects > dmg at the beginning.

BLMS are powerful but if you have a terrible healer you are at the most risk so you really need a solid team. Stay close to your whm if you can, combined you make up for each others weaknesses.

Sleep has no recast I am told so sleep and get out of range of melee because they are able to purify (remove sleep) once if they have the trait and then beat on you. In my experience a BLM not using status effects are just target practice for other DPS.

I think Sleep lasts 20 seconds so it really is a game decider a lot of times as most PVP I have done lasts 1-2 minutes.

Just a side note that it has no recast, but it does have a cast timer, so ppl best be wary! If someone resists you or uses Purify… Probably a good idea to do Swiftcast > Sleep rather than trying to just stand there and cast again.
