So I converted my HQ Level 140 Adamantite Sledgehammer to materia this morning and got a whopping Tier II GP +2 out of it. RNG or not, thats just plain ridiculous…
Yeah that's insane… tbh they could have handled materia conversion much better. For items of such a high level, it should limit the "lowest grade possible" to at least a tier 4, with some chance of receiving a tier 5.
This actually might be what they do after patch 3.1, so you may have benefitted more by waiting until tomorrow before converting D:
