My rotation ^_^ but be warned this is very CP heavy…
Please note tricks of trade takes precedence over everything but durability, press it everytime you can
Durability! Comfortzone Inner quiet Steady hand II Rapid synth Ingenuity II Careful II
That is my one to get the durability close to the end.^ You should have 20 dura left, if rapid breaks once dw, use manipulation and carry on. Twice, reclaim and restart
Quality! Manipulation Steady hand II Hasty touch Comfort zone when it runs out rinse and repeat
big finish! when you get low on CP (I say about 90) and cant regain anymore for whatever reason
Steady II (if you can afford it if not leave it out) Great strides If the status in normal or below >
observe (try and cheat it to good quality, if you cant, the result is so so)
> if its good Byregots
if you have excellent at 8+ stacks just use byregots regardless
careful II to finish!
this is how I did it but everyone's gear varies, all I can say for sure is your trouble will be durability not CP so CP heavy rotations are ok
food of choice < Hq bouillabaisse
hope that helps :D <3
ps NPC in mor dhona (Talan) swaps you your mats back for nq items as Arch says so dont be scared of practicing and messing about!
Hello, thanks for posting this, and sorry for all the questions today. Just wanted to get this all straight before I tried it. I guess from what I've seen there seems to be alot of variables with this synth and alot of different ways to do it instead of a set, tried and true rotation…But anyway I just had a couple more, sorry again….
Okay on your Durability start rotation, do you just go through this once, then head to quality? Reason I'm asking is you mention about rapid breaking once not to worry and carry on, Twice to do reclaim….Its not showing on there where it's used more the once?
And also, on using Observe, not sure how you are cheating it to good quality, do you mean you just keep hitting it till the quality is good, then hit Byregots? If its good after Great Strides just skip observe and hit Byregots?
Thats it for now I might try some tomorrow and if something seems not to work right I'll repost here.
the durability rotation I do is designed so you only need to do it once, it takes you very very close to the end. And I am saying if rapid breaks x2 you wont get the durability you need for the next stage without wasting CP so you need to start again already.
Yes observe can change the status and you need to "fish" for good or better, normal is pretty dire unless you have like 12 stacks
Np but have a go at this Mae its really not so bad and you get yours mats back :) ! its not like the 4 star books that are evil, this is pretty mild, I was crafting and answering FC questions so if you can do that and get hq you dont need to focus too much :)
- Be careful with Observe, it costs no durability but does cost 14 CP, so if you're planning to use it to "fish" for good/excellent to pop Byregot's, make sure you have lots of extra CP before attempting your finisher
- Alternatively to the above, you could mix up the opening/closing moves so you can use CS2 twice at the end to finish (once to condition fish, second to finish progress) which costs 10 extra durability but saves you 14, 28, or possibly even 42 CP if you've got crap luck
- I'd strongly advise against using Reclaim for these synths, given how much RNG can troll you, I think it's better to try your luck at a ~20% HQ chance and fail (if you get an NQ result, just trade it in for your rare mats back and try again) than rely on a 90% Reclaim and have it break and lose everything (meaning more leves and gil)
Just some things to keep in mind :) Good luck!
I'm gunna mess around with craft sims some more today and see if I can figure out some alternative rotations. I'll be sure to post if I figure out anything good!
During the "flow" phase of your synths, try to stick with the following rule of thumb:
If DUR = 20 and SH2 [Buff] = 3-4, use MNP then HT x2-3, refresh SH2 (ToT when possible) If DUR = 20 and SH2 [Buff] = 1-2, use HT x1 then MNP, refresh SH2 (ToT when possible)
Basically what this does is ensure that you minimize your wastefulness for both SH2 and MNP buffs, while also ensuring you never get stuck at 10 DUR with a risk to breaking your synth because you always end up gaining at least 10 DUR from refreshing CZ, SH2, or popping a ToT proc before you start using HT again.
I hope that makes sense… If not then maybe when I can show Sky on screen she will be able to explain it better to everyone else.
I've been using this rule (with my rotation from the first page) since I started and have successfully crafted 30 HQ Lucis turn-ins, around 10 NQ, and 3 breaks. Half of my NQs and all my breaks can be attributed to learning/modifying my rotation as well as not paying attention when I should I have been lol. Given that, when executed correctly, you can expect around a 90% HQ rate overall using this method. Plus or minus a little based on your RNG luck.
